Municipal Plan Amendment No. 1, 2024, and Development Regulations Amendment No. 1, 2024

The general public is invited to view a draft copy of the Town of Clarenville Municipal Plan Amendment No. 1, 2024, and Development Regulations Amendment No. 1, 2024.

The proposed Municipal Plan Amendment No. 1, 2024, will amend Municipal Plan Policy RMD-1 by deleting Double Dwelling, Townhouse, and Row Dwelling as Permitted uses and adding these uses as Discretionary uses. Secondly, deleting Subsidiary Apartment as a Discretionary use and adding it as a Permitted use.

Development Regulations Amendment No. 1, 2024, proposes to change the Residential Medium Density (RMD) Land Use Zone Table by deleting Double Dwelling, Townhouse, and Row Dwelling as Permitted uses and listing these uses as Discretionary uses. Secondly, deleting Subsidiary Apartment as a Discretionary use and adding it as a Permitted use.

The public may provide any comments or concerns on the proposed change to the Town in writing before Council proceeds with adopting the proposed amendments.

The Town of Clarenville draft Municipal Plan Amendment No. 1, 2024, and Development Regulations Amendment No. 1, 2024, shall be on display April 12 to April 19, 2024, from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, Town Hall, Clarenville.

The deadline for written comments shall be 4:00 pm., April 19, 2024.
