The Town of Clarenville, in partnership with the YMCA, is undertaking a public survey to determine the level of interest in constructing a new Regional Wellness Centre. The answers gathered though this survey will inform the next phase which includes a Feasibility Study. This Feasibility Study will identify concept design options, associated construction costs, financial analysis of the annual operating costs for such a facility and the Town’s ability to fund both the construction and annual operating costs.
Based on similar models elsewhere in the Province, the cost to construct such a facility could exceed $25M with annual operational costs to be cost-shared through user fees, fundraising and an operational grant from the Town of Clarenville. Funding for construction would require partnerships between all three levels of Government.
It is proposed that the facility would be operated under agreement with the YMCA.
We want your input to help shape the facility’s pricing, hours of operation and services. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey below.
You have the option to include your name and email address or other contact information to be entered to win an iPad mini. The prize will be drawn once the survey is closed. Your name will not be associated with any comments you may add to your survey answers.
