Town of Clarenville Launches New Business Directory to Support Local Economic Development
Clarenville, NL – [October 23, 2025] – The Town of Clarenville has officially launched its new Business Directory, an initiative developed in alignment with the Town’s Strategic Economic Plan. The directory is intended to support local enterprises, strengthen economic development, and further position Clarenville as a business-friendly community.
The Business Directory will serve as a centralized resource, providing residents and visitors with streamlined access to information on businesses operating within the municipality. This initiative reflects Council’s commitment to supporting the business community and promoting Clarenville as a regional hub for growth and opportunity.
“Council has made it a priority to support local businesses and foster an environment where economic development can flourish,” stated John Pickett, Mayor of Clarenville. “The Business Directory is a practical tool that will highlight the services available in our community while also assisting in the attraction of new enterprises.”
The project also builds upon the Town’s guiding motto, REAL LIFE POTENTIAL, reinforcing Clarenville’s vision as a place where business, community, and opportunity align.
The Business Directory will be hosted on the Town’s official website and will be maintained to ensure accuracy and accessibility. Local businesses are encouraged to participate by submitting or updating their information to ensure full representation of the community’s dynamic economic profile.
“The launch of the Business Directory underscores our ongoing efforts to strengthen Clarenville’s role as a regional service and business centre,” added David Harris, Chief Administrative Officer. “This resource will not only promote the diversity of businesses in the community but also enhance Clarenville’s visibility as a place to invest and grow.”
