The Town of Clarenville is committed to the safety of the public and its employees during the COVID-19 pandemic. Effective immediately, the Town will focus on “Essential Services” only. All non-essential services will be suspended indefinitely.

Essential Services include:

  • Provide clean, safe drinking water
  • Maintaining water and sewer infrastructure
  • Snow and Ice control
  • Road Maintenance
  • Fire Protection
  • Garbage Collection

All Public Town facilities are closed indefinitely. This includes the Town Hall, Fire Hall, Eastlink Events Centre, Bill Davis Chalet and all parks/playgrounds. The Town Depot and Water Treatment Plant is restricted to staff only. Town Hall staff will be working from home but will have limited capacity with a focus on supporting Essential Services only. Bill payments will only be accepted electronically at this time. As previously announced, the Interest Free tax payment date have been extended to June 30th, 2020 or all Residential, Business & Commercial Tax.

Bill Payments can be arranged by your banking institution using on-line banking. For instructions please contact the General Inquires contact info listed above.

A special Measures Order was Issued on March 23rd, 2020 required certain businesses to close. Please closely follow these announcements by the Provincial Government and more importantly, please ensure you comply with the recommendations!
