In accordance with the Town’s Development Regulations, only 1 subsidiary apartment is permitted in a single family dwelling. In addition, provisions for off-street parking shall be made, the apartment shall be completely self-contained (include facilities for cooking, sleeping and bathing), must be a minimum of forty (40) square meters of gross floor area for a one-bed apartment (add an additional ten (10) squares meters for each additional bedroom) and requires a fire and life safety inspection performed by the Town.
