Deidra is a Business Instructor with College of the North Atlantic and brings to the position a wealth of experience, along with a Diploma in Computer Studies MIS (Co-op), Bachelor of Education (Post-Secondary) and a Bachelor of Business Administration.
Community involvement is important to Deidra. She has served as Faculty Advisor for the Clarenville Campus, CNA Enactus Team for the past 15 years. In this role she has worked with her students to help create and deliver programs to the Clarenville area that focused on educating students in financial education, providing entrepreneurship opportunities and implementing projects to meet the social needs of the community.
Beyond her professional role, Deidra is deeply rooted in her community and passionate about local growth and development. She plays an active role in improving regional communications for tourism by maintaining Clarenville – Your Adventure Starts Here Facebook page, which highlights local attractions, businesses, and events throughout the region.
She is passionate about the arts and is excited to see the creative community continue to grow and enrich the Clarenville region.
Deidra loves the lifestyle that Clarenville has to offer and enjoys spending quality time with her husband, Barry while taking advantage of the trails for Biking, Snowmobiling, Hiking as well as Boating and Camping.
Now serving her second term on Clarenville Town Council, Deidra remains committed to fostering collaboration, supporting local businesses, enhancing community well-being and helping shape a vibrant, sustainable future for the community she proudly calls home. She is thankful for the continued support she has received and looks forward to working with the newly elected Council to build on the progress made and continue moving Clarenville forward.
