Employment Opportunity: Special Events Worker

The Town of Clarenville is currently accepting applications for the position of Special Events Worker within the Parks & Recreation Department. This temporary full-time position will support the Town’s 75th Anniversary celebrations and assist recreation staff as required.

Position Details

  • 15 weeks commencing as soon as possible
  • 40 hours per week

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning and delivery of special events and programs related to the Town’s 75th Anniversary celebrations.
  • Assist recreation staff with the upkeep of facilities, parks, trails, playgrounds, and green spaces throughout the Town as required.
  • Support event setup and teardown activities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to be bonded.
  • Experience in maintenance and/or utility work considered an asset.
