PUBLIC CONSULTATION
Development Regulations Amendment No. 3, 2026
The general public is invited to view a draft copy of the Town of Clarenville Development Regulations Amendment No. 3, 2026.
Development Regulations Amendment No. 3, 2026, proposes to amend:
Schedule A – Definitions by:
- Adding a new definition for Garden Suite.
- Amending the definition for Single Dwelling.
- Amending the definition for Double Dwelling.
- Adding a definition for In-Law Suite.
- Adding a definition for Home Office.
Schedule B – Classifications of Land and Buildings by:
- Adding Subsidiary Apartment, Garden Suite and In-Law Suite as examples to the Residential Use Class for single dwellings.
Schedule C-Land Use Zone Tables by:
- Adding Garden Suite, In-Law Suite and Home Office as permitted uses to the Residential Medium Density (RMD) Land Use Zone Table.
- Adding Double Dwelling, Garden Suite, In-Law Suite and Home Office as permitted uses to the Mixed Use (MU) Land Use Zone Table.
Schedule D-Off-Street Parking Requirements by:
- Adding Subsidiary Apartment, Garden Suite and In-Law Suite as permitted uses to the list of Off-street Parking Requirements.
The public may provide any comments or concerns on the proposed change to the Town in writing before Council proceeds with adopting the proposed amendments.
The Town of Clarenville draft Development Regulations Amendment No. 3, 2026, shall be on display March 17 to March 24, 2026, from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, Town Hall, Clarenville.
The deadline for written comments shall be 4:00 pm, March 24, 2026.
