Geneva Cholock was an inspiring woman who captured the images and stories of Clarenville and area for decades. A publisher, editor, writer, photographer and entrepreneur, Geneva (Stanley) Cholock passed away on April 25, 2015 at the age of 97.
Her obituary described her this way: “Geneva lived her life being guided by her dreams and passion to love and learn. Following her career path as a restauranteur, retailer, photographer, editor, publisher, reporter, hairdresser and forever learning and loving the arts of painting, writing and music.
Known as a historian she would entertain those around her with stories of the early years in Clarenville or of her adventures traveling the world.”
