Recreation Facilities to Re-Open

COVID-19 Update: Recreation Facilities to Open on Friday, June 12th. Please respect the guidelines in place for the safety of all our users. In addition to these guidelines, facility specific signage will be in place at each facility:

General Guidelines:

  • All Washroom facilities will remain closed in Alert Level 3
  • Please bring your own hand sanitizer when using any recreation facility
  • No competitions/games on any facilities as per the guidelines of the Chief Medical Officer
  • Please follow signage when entering and/or exiting facilities

Soccer Pitch & Running Track

  • Maximum of 20 people at any given time
  • All benches and bleachers will remain closed
  • All participants must practice social distancing (2m apart from those outside their bubble)

Softball Fields (Elizabeth Swan Park and Shoal Harbour)

(Please Note: Clarenville Highschool Field will remain closed for the time being in order to complete some much-needed maintenance on the outfield)

  • Maximum 20 people on a field at any given time
  • Dugouts will be closed
  • Bleachers will remain off limits
  • All participants must practice social distancing (2m apart from those outside their bubble)

Basketball Court (Legion Lane)

  • Maximum of 10 people on the court at any given time
  • All benches will remain closed
  • All participants must practice social distancing (2m apart from those outside their bubble)

ALL OTHER FACILITIES, INCLUDING PLAYGROUNDS WILL REMAIN CLOSED DURING ALERT LEVEL 3

The Town of Clarenville would like to thank residents for their patience and support throughout this difficult process. Get out and enjoy our facilities, but please remember to follow the guidelines put in place for the safety of all users.
