The Town of Clarenville adopted on October 11th, 2022, the Clarenville Municipal Plan and Development Regulations, 2022-2032.
As a result of the current COVID-19 public health emergency, the Department of Municipal and Provincial Affairs has temporarily waived the requirement to hold physical public hearings under section 18 of the Urban and Rural Planning Act, 2000. The Commissioner appointed by Council will be accepting only written submissions, signed, and dated, which will be considered and reflected, where appropriate, in the Commissioner’s report to Council.
Anyone wishing to make an objection or representation for the Commissioner’s consideration shall deposit with the Town Clerk of Clarenville a written statement (by hardcopy or by e-mail) outlining their objection or representation within the thirty (30) day period of October 24th to November 23rd, 2022 by 4:00 p.m. on November 23rd, 2022.
No in-person Public Hearing shall be held. The Commissioner shall take all written objections/presentations into consideration and provide Council with a Report of their findings and recommendations, thirty (30) days after the deadline for written submissions.
Council encourages residents to view the Clarenville Municipal Plan and Development Regulations, 2022-2032, documents and maps which shall be on display during normal business hours at the Town Office, Clarenville or can be viewed below:
