Please join us on July 1st, 2019 for the Official Grand Re-opening of Elizabeth Swan Park and our 2019 Canada Day Celebrations! There are plenty of fun events planned for all ages!

Tentative Schedule

8am – 10am – Diaper Dash, Duathlon ages 4-7 years, 8-12 years. (1 lap of 0.6 km trail, followed by 1 lap of High Birchy of Bike).

9am – 4pm – Beach Volleyball Tournament

9:30am – 11am – Guided hike of Rotary Trail. Distance of trail completed will be equivalent to 8 ballots. For for the whole Family!

10am to Dusk – Splash pad fun!

10am to 12pm – Lap up the celebrations! Get moving on the walking track behind the Bill Davis Chalet and walk your way to winning some fun prizes. With each lap completed a ballot will be entered toward prize draws throughout the day.

10am to 11am – Crafts for the Kids! Drop into the Bill Davis Chalet for a Canada Day themed craft.

12pm – Food vendors and free hot dogs and hamburgers.

12pm – 1pm – Cenotaph Ceremony at the War Memorial (Town Hall)

1pm – Official Canada Day ceremonies, Grand Re-opening of Elizabeth Swan Park and cutting of the Canada Day Cake.

2pm – 4pm – Old fashioned picnic games for kids. Games include potato sack races, 3 legged races, water balloon fight, ring toss, bean bag toss, relay races, bubble blowing, face painting.

2pm – 4pm – Enjoy 2hrs of young talent, showcasing a snippet of Clarenville and area’s musical talent.

4pm – 6:30pm – Bring a picnic and enjoy a hot dog/hamburger! Bring a blanket and enjoy the splash pad, background music and loads of community fun!

6:30pm  – Draw for prizes, duathlon results, volleyball tournament.

7:30pm to Dusk  – Canada Day party with Darrell Duke, community campfire and s’mores followed by fireworks at dusk in the ball field

*Bring own lawn chair or blanket
